The rosé wine La Bastide Blanche Bandol, vintage 2021 from the winery La Bastide Blanche has been rated in 2022 by Anne Krebiehl MW with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault from the region Bandol in France.
A beautifully intense note of bottled strawberries appears on the nose. The palate has that same flavour and lends it an almost rustic phenolic edge, of slight tannin that gives this lovely structure and mouthfeel. The dry finish reveals a beautiful note of white pepper. Lovely.
