The red wine Alfiera Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG, vintage 2011 from the winery Marchesi Alfieri has been rated in 2014 with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Barbera from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Rich, impenetrable ruby colour with a black core. Very concentrated nose, with an impressive aroma of ripe plums, blackberries and elderberries. Luscious on the palate with a lush attack and finish, but also shows plenty of juicy fruit, soft, fine-grained tannins and a chocolate aftertaste.
