The red wine Brunello di Montalcino, vintage 2012 from the winery Máté has been rated in 2017 by Kiem, Othmar with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, shiny ruby red. Very intense and appealing nose, rich blackberries, fresh dark cherries and a hint of cocoa. On the palate a lot of ripe fruit, crisp, finely meshed tannins, subtle oaky notes in the background, but should integrate very well with ageing.
