The red wine Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Montezovo has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Corvina, Corvinone Veronese, Rondinella from the region Veneto in Italy.
Shiny, intense ruby with fine garnet shimmer. Very clear and appealing nose of ripe cherry and blackberry, slightly resinous in the background. Round and expansive in approach and course, shows a lot of ripe fruit, fine savouriness, grippy tannin in the back, but also a lot of alcohol.
