The red wine Il Campitello Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG, vintage 2021 from the winery Monteraponi has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright, medium ruby red in colour with purple reflections. Dark and smoky on the nose, with ripe black cherry, pipe tobacco and alabaster. The palate is expansive with juicy fruit, and there is a beautiful interplay between tightly woven tannins and fresh acidity, very exciting and persistent.
