The red wine Blaufränkisch Mittelburgenland DAC Reserve Potio Magica, vintage 2018 from the winery Neckenmarkt die Winzer has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
It has a deep dark ruby colour, with an opaque core, purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. There are aromas of ripe plum, some nougat, underlaid with dark berry fruit, and a lovely savouriness in the background. On the palate it is complex, juicy, with black cherry, chocolaty tannins, persistence, good length, and toasty aromas on the back palate. It has good ageing potential.
