The red wine Newton The Puzzle, vintage 2017 from the winery Newton Vineyard has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser & Anne Krebiehl MW with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Central Coast in United States.
It has a dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. There are discreet aroma notes of cassis and herbs, some nougat and sea buckthorn, and tobacco savouriness. It is powerful, juicy, with a chocolaty texture, and ripe tannins. It is a full-bodied food wine with fine fruit on the finish, and it will benefit from a few more years of bottle ageing.
