The red wine Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva Le Fioraie, vintage 2007 from the winery Piemaggio has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, dark ruby garnet. Intricate nose with notes of blackberry and raspberry, then opens up, showing notes of liquorice, some leather, seems very balanced. On the palate juicy and round, lots of fruit expression, finely-meshed tannin, good tension. A salty, long finish with a hint of cinnamon.
