Brilliant ruby colour with a slight garnet hue. Extremely fragrant and appealing nose, finely chiselled, lots of juicy blackberries, some ginger, good tension. Firm tannins determine the palate, somewhat rough, savoury, unfortunately, a little sandy on the finish.
