The red wine Solenida Costa Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2016 from the winery Tenute Lunelli - Tenuta Podernovo has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark, bright garnet with a shimmering core. The aroma is extremely rich, with vegetal notes of peppermint, tart savouriness and lots of leather, with some forest fruit only on the second sip. Immediately envelops the mouth with pithy tannins, quite angular in its structure, yet it builds on juice and texture in the middle section and demonstrates good length.
