Dark chocolate and blueberry compote. Strong alcohol, supple, almost oily, sandy tannin of high phenolic maturity, dense but not massive, rather mild acidity, with an early aromatic presence on the finish, reminiscent of the spicy fruit of a good vintage prot. Needs a meal to integrate alcohol and tannin.
