The red wine Palafreno Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2017 from the winery Querciabella has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 - 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot
It has a fine bright ruby red colour. The nose reveals lovely nuances of sugared raspberry, along with juicy cherry and cranberry, cedar wood, light caramel, and blackberry. On the palate it is radiant with lots of juice, opening up with nice resinous notes, unfolding beautifully, although it then dries considerably on the finish.
