The red wine Marquês dos Vales Selecta Tinto, vintage 2016 from the winery Quinta dos Vales has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah, Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Cabernet Sauvignon
Some wood and chocolate, but also herbal notes, fir resin, pine menthol, dark berries. On the palate it shows with a supple body and fine-grained tannins in the right amount, medium density, good proportion, slightly salty, a solid accompaniment to stews or hearty grilled dishes.
