Tasting Notes
Orange peel and pith are subtle on the nose, framed by the creaminess of oak and lees, accentuated by bright flashes of lime. The palate has exquisite creaminess and a smooth but pithy texture that is reminiscent of orange pith. Mouth-watering acidity underpins the rounded, textured richness and underlines the essential saltiness of the wine that finishes in a yeasty umami note. Wonderful now, certain to evolve. A bit of a swansong: this was the last wine made from this tiny vineyard, it is now grubbed up.
