Tasting from 27.08.2020: Peter Moser

Medium ruby, ochre tints, broad bright rim. Delicate herbal savouriness, red berry confit, pickled cherries, smoky-animal nuances, some garrigue. Medium-bodied, fine fruit expression, delicate tannins, mineral, ripe cherry aftertaste, easy-drinking, harmonious style. With a full 12%, Roc d'Anglade is one of the most delicate red wines of the Languedoc.

An enormously savoury first impression, reminiscent of juniper, black pepper and liquorice. The fruit remains in the background, shimmering through as cherry and blackberry at best. The palate is also sinewy in the literal sense. It shows its fruit now and remains true to its ascetic character right through to the finish.
