The spumante Sarcastico Extra Brut Metodo Classico VSQ from the winery Rusèl has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Arneis from the region Piedmont in Italy.
This has a shimmering light gold colour. On the nose there are aromas of lemon zest, dried apricot, a small drop of glue, and some iodine in the aftertaste. On the palate there is a hearty compact mousse, and it is full-bodied, slightly bittersweet, not disturbing, completely off the mark, stubborn, and something for the connoisseur.
