The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2017 from the winery Cantina San Guglielmo has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red colour with a brightening rim. Initially shows slightly balsamic notes of mint on the nose, then roasted walnuts, ripe raspberries and ripe cranberries, with a delicate smoky aftertaste. Creamy and radiant fruit on the palate, warm-hearted, coated in somewhat broad-meshed tannins, lacks a little tension, slightly drying.
