Die Merlot-Rebstöcke wurden vor Jahrzehnten in einem sehr lehmhaltigen Abschnitt des Lattenbergs gepflanzt. Die Kaltstandzeit, das Einlegen ganzer Trauben in die Maische sowie der anschliessende Ausbau in neuem Barrique während rund 12 Monaten haben einen „Pomerol vom Zürichsee“ hervorgebracht. Holunder, Brombeere sowie die Würze von Lakritze füllen den Gaumen, die Aromatik ist frisch, harmonisch und lang anhaltend.

Intense fruit aromas on the nose with notes of raspberry and strawberry confit as well as cassis. Powerful on the palate, with textured fruit and subtle tannins as well as roasted notes on the long finish.
