The red wine Lodovico Toscana Rosso IGT, vintage 2020 from the winery Tenuta del Nicchio has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Franc from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Clear deep dark ruby, subtle purple on the rim. Impressive nose with concentrated notes of cigar box, eucalyptus, then rich notes of black currants, mulberries, slightly earthy tones in the background. Fills the palate richly, stolid, dense tannin, dark berryish fruit and lots of tobacco, earthy notes in the finish.
