The red wine Hortense Bolgheri Superiore DOC, vintage 2021 from the winery Tenuta Fratini has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, deep dark ruby in colour with purple hints. An inviting and multi-layered nose, with aromas of dark chocolate, cassis and blueberry, with subtle cardamom spice in the background. Well-integrated grippy, dense tannins characterize the palate, with plenty of fresh, dark berry fruit and a persistent finish redolent of smoke and tar.
