Rich, bright ruby red subtly brighter at the core. On the nose, very savoury with animalistic undertones, pronounced aromas of the barrel, plus overripe cherry and plum, and oranges; earthy in the aftertaste. The palate is rich and powerful, with savoury-animalistic undertones and lots of tannin. Remains significantly drying on the finish.
