Rich, sparkling ruby. Dense and rich, showing lots of ripe blackberries, some elderberries, a hint of dark chocolate, then beautiful cherry in the background. Opens with taut, gripping tannins, spreads out beautifully, lots of power, rich pressure, still a little wood overhang in the finish.
