Sparkling ruby with garnet rim; clear nose with intense fruit, lots of plum, slightly resinous notes, cherry; intense ripe fruit notes on the palate, reminiscent of elderberry and licorice, sweet tannin, but then breaks off quite quickly in the finish, appears somewhat rough.
