The nose is incredibly shy and allows only the slightest glimpse of raspberry. The palate follows that same raspberry tenderness, but imbues it with a riper, rounder notion that implies sunshine and plumpness. It is only on the finish that some oaky smokiness joins in, as if to carry over that tender raspberry fruit into something ethereal and super-fresh.
