The red wine Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery Ventolaio has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red with garnet reflections. A little closed at first, needs some time in the glass, opens on wild strawberries, some blood orange, also reminiscent of mint, liquorice and sealing wax. Good juiciness on the palate, fine fruit texture and good tension, becomes somewhat loosely-knit and warm-hearted in the finish.
