The red wine Levet Côte-Rôtie AOC La Péroline, vintage 2017 from the winery Vignobles Levet has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser, Ulrich Sautter, Benjamin Herzog, Dominik Vombach with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Côtes du Rhône in France.
Dark ruby in colour with purple reflections and subtle brightening on the ochre rim. On the nose, aromas of blackberry, hints of dark nougat, subtle liquorice, leather, and candied violets. Taut and mineral on the palate with ripe tannins and dark nuances of black olive and juniper berry. Firm and persistent with a saline finish, the wine will benefit from further bottle age. A very savoury distinct style.
