The red wine Delena 1903 Merlot, vintage 2017 from the winery Vinarija Delena has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Šumadijski in Serbia.
Strong ruby, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim. Fresh, ripe sweet cherries, hints of meadow herbs and orange zest. Very powerful, sweet fruit, integrated tannins, mineral and concentrated, has the traits of a Vintage Port, fine tannins on the finish, needs further bottle ageing.
