The red wine Kallista, vintage 2010 from the winery Vriesenhof Vineyards has been rated in 2016 by Peter Moser with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec from the region Stellenbosch in South Africa.
Dark, almost opaque ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate watery rim. Initially somewhat restrained, subtle herbal spice, underlaid with dark berry fruit, some nougat, tobacco touch. Medium complexity, delicate blackberry fruit, but also red berry nuances, still underdeveloped on the finish, lemony touch in the aftertaste.
