The white wine Königsbacher Idig, vintage 2009 from the winery Weingut A. Christmann has been rated in 2010 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Rich yellow in colour. An intense and ripe nose shows yellow-fleshed fruit and a delicate yeasty flavour, not as extreme as the Mandelberg. Extractively sweet, creamy and chalky, with a silky, juicy, very full-bodied style. It's very long, with certain ageing potential and still with plenty of baby fat to shed.
