The white wine Durbach Plauelrain Clevner Alte Reben trocken, vintage 2024 from the winery Weingut Andreas Laible has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Roter Traminer from the region Baden in Germany.
The fragrance opens with yeasty savouriness, also very slightly lactic, then a varietal savouriness gradually fans out: Litchi and rose, mace and pink pepper berries. The palate opens with pithy acidity, substance and texture are well interwoven in the centre of the palate, a striking tactile minerality appears and allows the wine to finish compact and closed. Definitely needs another two or three years.
