The white wine Durbach Plauelrain Traminer Auslese, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Andreas Laible has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Roter Traminer from the region Baden in Germany.
A fine botrytis underpins the floral spiciness of the wine, rose, rosehip and apricot. The palate opens with an interplay of phenolics and silky sweetness, the very well-integrated acidity gives length and keeps the sweet, slightly viscous character of the wine on the kitsch-free side of the stylistic spectrum. The finish is still rather closed aromatically.
