The red wine Eisenberg DAC Reserve, vintage 2015 from the winery Weingut Anton Mittl has been rated in 2017 by Peter Moser with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Eisenberg in Austria.
It has a deep ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a broad bright rim. On the nose there is a tobacco and herbal savouriness in the background, with red cherry fruit, a hint of tangerine zest, and a discreet aroma of fine oak. It is juicy, with a taut texture, a ripe cherry flavour, supporting tannins, and some minerality on the finish. It has certain ageing potential.
