The blanc de noirs Spätburgunder Blanc de Noir, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Deutzerhof has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Ahr in Germany.
Light copper colour. Ripe aroma, caramel, red berries, almond. Round on the palate, then hearty, stemmy and phenolic, here even with reductive accompanying motifs. A very idiosyncratic wine that perhaps simply needs more ageing.
