The white wine »Alte Reben« Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Deutzerhof has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Ahr in Germany.
Planted in 1992, these were probably the first Chardonnay vines planted in the Ahr. Aged in a half barrel and two barriques. On the nose some lime blossom, flax, almond, a pinch of wood, slate savouriness. In the mouth silky and round, textured, quite rounded and full-bodied. Well-integrated, lively but not spiky acidity, finely chiseled and yet firm inside. Very individual Chardonnay.
