The white wine Ilbesheim Kalmit Riesling trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Eck has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
It has a light spontaneous fermentation note on the nose, along with aromas of damp limestone, and grapefruit. It is smooth and delicately phenolically textured on the palate, with very good fruit, and a firm acid backbone. It is a very mature Kalmit Riesling that shows the limestone character of the vineyard site.
