The red wine Pegasos Wald und Schotter – Große Reserve, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Pitnauer has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah, Zweigelt, Merlot from the region Lower Austria in Austria.
It has a deep dark ruby colour, with purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. There is a ripe tobacco savouriness, along with lovely blackberry notes, a hint of black olive, and candied clementine zest. It is complex, juicy, with a nice chocolaty touch, velvety tannins, ripe cherry fruit, persistence, and a lively finish. It is a good food wine.
