The white wine Ihringen Winklerberg Weißer Burgunder trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Freiherr von Gleichenstein has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 - 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weisser Burgunder from the region Baden in Germany.
Relatively deep in colour. The nose is pure tropical fruit, with guava, passion fruit and pineapple in forms that suggest late and auslese levels of ripeness. In the mouth there's plenty of taut phenolics and a firm acid backbone, held together by a meltingly round body. Finishes with a subtle minerality, and a hint of some ageing potential. Still very youthful.
