The white wine »1G« Westhofen Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Gutzler has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Ripe yellow fruit, nutty and chalky tones, also a hint of wormwood. The wood is barely perceptible in isolation. The palate has an impressive structure: the medium-high, not exuberant volume is densely filled with the finest phenolics, supported by a ripe acidity. Quiet and fine.
