The red wine 2015 »einzig & artig« Cabernet Sauvignon trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Herbert Meßmer has been rated in 2019 with 89 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
On the nose, like a traditional red from the Haut-Médoc: almond, red and blackcurrant, a little paprika. Ripe tannins to chew on, with an initial softening, but still plenty of tension. Lots of juiciness and rather restrained fruit, salty notes on the finish.
