The red wine Mittelburgenland DAC Reserve, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Hundsdorfer has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Blaufränkisch from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Dark ruby garnet with violet reflections and q slight brightening on the rim. On the nose gentle nougat caramel, herbal spices, orange zest and an underlay of dark berries. It is juicy and freshly structured. There are flavours of ripe cherries, blackberry jam, a touch of chocolate, gentle red berry nuances in the aftertaste with nougat on the finish. It has a good length.
