The red wine Hochheim Reichestal Merlot trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Im Weinegg has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 91+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Rheingau in Germany.
Intense herbal tones, essential oils, camphor, but also black cherry, dark chocolate and pepper. On the palate, the wine has plenty of volume, a suitable amount of ripe tannins, subtle viscosity, a well-integrated, natural acidity and plenty of juiciness on the finish. Pure and elegant, with very good ageing potential.
