The white wine Riesling Smaragd Limited Edition, vintage 2009 from the winery Weingut Johann Donabaum has been rated in 2010 with 92 - 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Wachau in Austria.
Medium green-yellow in colour. Intense yellow fruit aromas with fine dried-fruit flavours, candied orange zest, blossom honey, fine savoury nuances and sweet peach undertones. Powerful palate, but not unbridled, with juicy stone-fruit notes. Clearly characterised by minerality, it hides its muscles under a fruity silk carpet and is carried by racy acidity. Very good length, a friendly Riesling with a lot of future.
