Deep dark ruby with an opaque core, purple reflections and delicately translucent rim. Intense blackberry, ripe sweet cherry, hints of nougat, cassis and vanilla, underlaid by a pleasant savouriness. Complex, fine toasty aromas, ripe cherry, well-integrated tannins, fine oak spiciness on the finish and a subtle touch of chocolate. Successful new-world type.
