The white wine Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Vinothekfüllung, vintage 2003 from the winery Weingut Knoll has been rated in 2006 with Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Veltliner from the region Wachau in Austria.
Medium greenish yellow. Almost Riesling-like stone fruit notes on the nose, fresh apricot, but also peach. Full-bodied and elegant on the palate, a delicate sweetness that is buffered by good acidity, very good length, mineral spice. (Currently a slight overhang of extract sweetness on the finish).
