Tasting Notes
Closed on the nose and almost completely on the spicy-mineral side with damp chalk and little fruit. Restrained wood influence. Very broad on the palate with lots of volume, but also an effortless filling of that volume, with mellow phenolics, ripe acidity and a layer of suppleness. All of this quite unforced, restrained, carried by enormous finesse, without any sweetness, and yet with subtle and distinguished restraint. Nuanced aromatics on the finish, grounded in minerals. Great potential!
