Tasting Notes
Herbal notes, also some yeast, slightly balsamic, earthy notes, wild berries, plum and also sour cherry, red berry notes, slightly peppery, dark pepper, dark olive, slightly ethereal, some spruce needles. The mouth is powerfully structured, the acidity has traction and provides movement, velvety, well integrated tannins, emphatically dry, clear red cherry, good length.
More about the tastingOn the nose, smoky new oak, dried tomato, bay leaf. A very dense and at the same time relaxed wine on the palate: fine tannins, lots of juiciness, great elegance, all of a piece with a fine tactile minerality (molasses?) on the finish.
