The sweet and dessert wine Riesling Auslese, vintage 2010 from the winery Weingut Leitner has been rated in 2011 with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Light golden yellow, silver reflections. Intense tropical fruit, passion fruit, floral nuances, blossom honey. Juicy with hints of stone fruit and pineapple, fine honey undertones, precise acidity, silky finish, fine fruity sweetness on the finish, great ageing potential. Perhaps the very last vintage, as the vineyard was severely damaged by the frost in May 2011. It's a shame considering the delicate sweet wines that have been produced here.
