The white wine Großheppach Steingrüble Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Leon Gold has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Württemberg in Germany.
This is a great example of the reductive nose that some are currently hyping. Not too bold, but with underlying fruit and ethereal herbal aromas. On the palate, grippy with minerality and expressive acidity. Definite ageing potential, but still a pleasure to drink now.
