A spicy and savoury nose shows smoke, charcoal, pear and apple, with some stone fruit and bay leaf too. It's powerful on the palate but still moderately built and juicy, with a touch of spice and a ripe, playful acidity to keep things in line. A gastronomic type, excellent company at the dining table.
