The red wine Zweigelt Reserve Ried Schatzberg, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Norbert Bauer has been rated in 2021 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Zweigelt from the region Weinviertel in Austria.
It has a dark garnet colour, with an opaque core, purple reflections, and a delicate bright rim. There are aromas of ripe plum, a hint of fig, dark berry confit, candied orange zest, and some nougat. It is juicy, complex, with fine sweet fruit, ripe tannins, good length, and some chocolate and caramel on the finish. It is already easy to drink, and it is a full-bodied food wine.
